Sisters/Bend, Oregon
May 5th – May 18th, 2019
We are on our path north for the summer. We spent 2 weeks near Bend, Oregon because we love the area and we have family here. Read the review of Sister Creekside Campground and the surrounding area.
Valley of Fire, NV to Prescott, AZ via Phoenix
January 14th – February 10th, 2019
Valley of Fire State Park, NV is stunning, definitely worth a visit. We had just 3 days there, but will definitely go back sometime for a longer stay. It was a nice getaway after being in Las Vegas.
Next stop was Phonix, AZ for the Creativation trade show for crafting. Renee was showing off the almost complete “Color My Life” app. The MotorCoach Resort is fine for a few days to stay with a purpose, but not as a tourist visit to the area.
After 5 days of talking to people and being social, we retreated to the wonderful Point of Rocks RV Campground in Prescott. We loved this place. Peaceful and beautiful. A must stay for the future. The large rocks are right next to the RV and we walked out of the nearby gate with the dogs every morning and they loved the adventure of climbing on the rocks just as much as we did.
San Diego and Las Vegas
December 3rd, 2018 – January 14th, 2019
We left Foster Park, Ventura, CA and spent a week at the Golden Shore RV Resort, Long Beach. Then the final long-planned visit to Mission Bay, San Diego for about a month. It was great to catch up with friends & family and most of all to attend Anty Laura and Uncle Sonny’s traditional Christmas Eve holiday event. The final step of this leg was to spend a few days over the CES electronics show in Las Vegas, which we spent as guests of Tom and Roxanne.
Ventura, California
November 10th – December 3rd, 2018
In the last month, we have moved from Laughlin, NV via 2 stops near Palm Springs, CA to our current location in Ventura, CA.
Next week it’s Long Beach, then we move to San Diego for the rest of December. Then… next year we are doing a big west coast loop into Canada and back through Montana, Idaho, Utah, etc. Exciting times.
Laughlin, Nevada
October 27th – November 10th, 2018
Moved to Laughlin at the very bottom of Nevada. Staying in a beautiful State Park on the banks of the Colorado River. Every morning we see a Roadrunner (meep, meep or beep, beep depending upon who you ask!) and Quail go by. Visited the London Bridge at Lake Havasu, planning a jet ski trip up the river and perhaps a day trip to Red Rock Canyon National Park.
Williams, Arizona – Grand Canyon
October 18th – 27th, 2018
After a wonderful week at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, we moved to Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, AZ an old town on Route 66. We took the dogs for an early morning walk at the Grand Canyon!
Albuquerque Baloon Fiesta
October 8th – 15th, 2018
Arrived in Albuquerque, NM for the Balloon Fiesta. There are wall to wall RV’s here. Heading to the launch field at 6am each day to watch the mass assent. There are 560 hot air balloons here this week. More photos to follow I’m sure.

The wild west at Rapid City, South Dakota
September 6th – 21st, 2018
We knew a little about Rapid City, or more accurately we knew Mt. Rushmore was somewhere around there. I know, its a little sad that between me and my wife that’s the best we could do, but then again, isn’t that a good reason to travel the county in an RV?
To be fair I am a bit of a nerd and did quite a bit of research in the few months before we went. I’d seen the awesome looking boondocking site at the Badlands. I’d also seen “Less Junk, More Journey” in Deadwood.
Suffice to say, there is so much to love about the Rapid City area that in our 3 weeks we only just squeezed in our wish list. It’s on our “must visit again” list. Read more….
Our Maine objective
June 16th – July 7th, 2018
I deserve beating with a stick for the terrible title, not that it will stop me. I suspect that by the completion of our nomadic life I’ll resemble a pinata at 6-year olds birthday party.
When we moved to New York City back in 2016, we always knew it was more of an extended vacation, rather than a permanent change of address. Like any vacation, we produced a list of all the things we would like to do. When we were ready to leave we pulled out the list to see how successful and diligent we had been; Everything but Maine.
So Maine was a must-do trip and a great destination for our break away from New York. Everyone, just everyone that has visited Maine said Arcadia Nation Park is fantastic. So, at least we didn’t have to plan too much! Read more…
